Haryana Institute of Civil Aviation (HICA) is a
Body registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860. HICA came into
existence on 1st April 1999 by merging erstwhile Karnal Aviation Club, Hissar
Aviation Club and Pinjore Aviation Club all together.

Karnal branch is situated 3 Km from the Delhi-Amritsar G.T.Road towards East on
Karnal-Kunjpura Road, near village Kulvehri.
HICA
main Objectives is to impart flying training to the youth all over the country
who want to make career in flying as pilot and Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. To
fulfill this objective HICA is committed.
HICA
has fleet of 3 aircraft at Karnal Branch, 2 aircraft at Hissar Branch and 3
aircraft at Pinjore Branch bringing the total to 8 aircrafts.
Besides,
flying training, gliding training is also available at its' branches. HICA hold
a wide variety of aircrafts in our fleet.
i.e.
Cessna-152 A, Cessna 172 R (Glass Cockpit)
Flying
training is divided under following licences :-
1. Initial
Flying for obtaining PPL
2. Post-PPL flying for obtaining CPL
3. Post CPL Flying for instructor Rating
To start Initial flying trainee require Student Pilot License and
FRTOL.
Private Pilot License (PPL )is obtained by a trainee after clearing
PPL written exam conducted by DGCA, RTR exam conducted by Ministry of
telecommunication and around 40 and 60 hours of flying training as per
requirement.
To obtain Commercial Pilot License ( CPL ) one has to Pass CPL
written examination conducted by DGCA, RTR exam conducted by Ministry of
telecommunication and require to complete minimum 200 hours flying training
which includes Solo Flying, cross-country flights, instrument flying, Night
Flying, simulator training, flying
skill tests etc.
The Institute also imparts practical training to the students for qualifying
Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence.
To achieve its goal, the
Institute has the following infrastructure:-
1.
Metalled Runway 3000ft long and 150ft wide.
2.
Different categories of light airplanes can land at this
runway.
3.
Well equipped workshop for day-to-day maintenance and major
repair/overhaul of aircraft.
4.
Well trained Flight Instructors, Ground Instructors,
Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and Ground staff.
5.
Aerodrome
is equipped with navigational aids such as
Non-Directional Beacon, Aerodrome beacon
for night flying etc.
6.
The
aircrafts are equipped with night flying facilities.
7.
Hostel
is also available for regular students.
Accommodation for girl students is also taken
care by the institute.
The
institute has sufficient numbers of trained Flying Instructors, experienced
Ground Instructors , Aircraft maintenance Engineers and Ground staff for
excellent flying training
experience.

Director, Besides these, there are officers of State and Central Government
appointed selected on various positions in the Institute
INTAKE
OF STUDENTS FOR FLYING:
HICA accepts direct recruitment of students who have passed 10+2
with Physics and Maths
(admission for direct recruitment are open round the year)
Also,
admission are done through State Govt. sponsorship for which advertisements, are
published in News papers every year.
Between
2 to 3 years depending upon the aptitude of an individual.
Between 15 lacs and 18 Lacs for direct entry students and .
Between 13 lacs and 15 Lacs for
State Sponsored students.
Admission Fee = 15,000/-
Ground Class Fee => 25,000/-
Security => 50,000/- ( Refundable if trainee undergoes more than
50 hrs flight training in HICA )

Cessna 172 => 8700/Hr i.e 8700
X 200 = 1,740,000/-

regular students.
